Crestron sponsors fall BICSI meeting at IBS

On October 29, IBS hosted the fall North-Central Region Breakfast Club meeting, sponsored by Crestron, a firm that engineers, manufactures, and delivers control and automation technology. Their solutions for buildings and homes let people control entire environments with the push of a button, integrating systems such as A/V, lighting, shading, IT, security, BMS, and HVAC to provide greater comfort, convenience, and security.

Thanks, Crestron, for your support!

At the Oct. 29 breakfast meeting, Steve Malmgren spoke on "AV Technology Impacting Architectural Design," and Dennis Morgan with Specified Technologies, Inc., Firestop presented "Pre- and Post-Occupancy Fire Barrier Management."

IBS hosts quarterly BICSI meetings to bring unique technology presentations to area BICSI members, which helps them increase their knowledge and earn continuing education credits required for industry credentials.

Presentation topics in 2015 included:

  • The Data Center as an Ecosystem: Don't Just Be Green, Be Agile
  • Advanced Biometric Access Control
  • Why LEED Buildings Kill Cell Signals

Dates for 2016 will be announced soon. For information about presenting, attending, or sponsoring an event, contact Tina Parsley at tparsley@IBSwebsite.com or 614-240-5999.
