Our new location was a $10 million-dollar facility with approximately 70,000 square-feet, nearly triple the size of our old building. Lots of careful thought and planning was put into every detail of the construction of the exterior, interior and furniture. However, six months before our opening date, we were still unsure of what to do about the cabling, phone and computer systems.
Though we had given these systems some thought, by law we had to bid projects over $15,000. We didn’t have enough knowledge or experience in some of these fields to be able to proceed with the bidding process. We feared that because of all the work required for these projects that we may have had to delay the opening of the new location.
