A/V TECH BOOSTS communication, concentration, and collaboration

Thanks to innovative technology from Smartrac, Spyder’s 2016 ski jacket connected its wearer to U.S. ski team and local ski information with a single tap of a smartphone to an NFC device embedded in the Spyder logo.

Smartrac’s radio-frequency identification (RFID) tags and IoT solutions benefit a wide array of applications, including animal identification, inventory tracking, gaming, and document management.

Founded in 2000 and headquartered in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, Smartrac announced plans in 2018 to open a new software development center in Central Ohio.

To prepare the new Columbus office to operate its requisite high-tech systems, Integrated Building Systems first designed and installed a CAT-6 low-voltage cabling system.

With this critical IT infrastructure in place, Integrated Building Systems then deployed an artistic digital signage display, interactive audio-visual displays in conference rooms, touch-screen Crestron controls, and a sound-masking system to control the impact of office acoustics. Together these solutions provide the essential tools for collaboration, concentration, and communication that advance Smartrac’s business goals.
