Say hello to Ron Cunningham, an Account Executive at Integrated Building Systems. He is responsible for building and nurturing relationships with our partners and clients. From initial discussions through installation, Ron is an expert at listening to their needs and finding the right solutions for their project.
RON’S JOURNEY WITH INTEGRATED BUILDING SYSTEMS
Ron is celebrating two years with Integrated Building Systems, but his connection with the company began long before he officially joined the team.
Ron first met Al Chapman, one of the founders of Integrated Building Systems, while working in another role. Al later introduced Ron to the company’s president, Chip Chapman. When Ron began looking for his next opportunity, Chip reached out and invited him to join the team.
Before joining the company, Ron also became involved with Integrated Building Systems through the annual Earth Day Electronics Recycling Drive. He attended five Earth Day events before he was an employee, bringing donuts and volunteers to support the drives. Through these events, Ron built a strong rapport with the team while making a positive impact on the community.
Ron joined the company in October 2024 as an Account Manager before transitioning into his current role as an Account Executive. In that role, he focused on nurturing existing relationships. As he grew within the company, his responsibilities expanded to growing the client and partner network, eventually leading him into the Account Executive role.
WHAT DRIVES RON
“I enjoy building relationships and being creative with my skill set,” Ron said when reflecting on what keeps him inspired, both personally and professionally. He believes Integrated Building Systems gives him the opportunity to use those strengths every day.
Ron describes himself as a protector by nature, a quality that fuels his desire to see the people around him succeed. “When I invest in a relationship or a particular area, I naturally want to protect it and help it succeed,” Ron said. He finds genuine joy in helping others win and contributing to a healthy, productive team culture.

That mindset extends beyond his relationships with others. Ron is also guided by a simple philosophy: “Your choice is your superpower.” The quote resonates deeply with Ron because he believes our choices give us both control and freedom. They hold us accountable, shape our direction, and ultimately influence our outcomes.
Another principle Ron lives by is the importance of finding your authentic self. Honesty is the foundation for any strong relationship, and when you embrace your authentic self, the right opportunities are more likely to align with you. “If you're not honest with yourself, it's difficult for life and your relationships to be honest with you.”
